2023 marked five years in the office (with two years part-time as a porter and van driver before this). Since then, I have covered almost every role from local, storage, european, cross-channel & site surveying. I am now very proudly the Head of Department for our UK & Ireland service. All of the above development & growth would not have been possible without the excellent support, encouragement and trust from the Management team here and my colleagues both in the office and out on the roads.

Wow - where did that time go! I couldn’t believe it was 10 years since I started at McGimpsey Removals. Still working hard to help our customers and still learning each day to improve the service I can offer. Great training opportunities available to me and I'm still loving the job. I started with no idea of how the logistics and removal business worked and I’m now a Senior Moving Consultant. I have an interesting, varied position with no two jobs or moves being the same.

No two days are the same, there is always something different awaiting you when you come in every day.I enjoy working for a large recognisable company who put time and effort into training new staff and always like to promote from within.I am testament to that as I was alien to removals and logistics when I first started with the company, I was trained accordingly and within a year got promoted to a management position.

Plus points are that I get to travel to places where I normally would not, and also meeting with different people each day from so many different places. The sense of pride on completion of a move is fantastic.

I have been a member of the McGimpsey Team for 15years now, firstly as a Crew Leader, then I moved into the position of Operations Manager and now I find myself in the role of Customer Service Manager. The best part of my job is I get to speak with people from all over the world, and always take personal pride when offering them the Professional and efficient McGimpsey Experience that they can expect on their relocation day. I am very lucky in my role as every day has different challenges to overcome.

I have worked for McGimpsey Removals for 20 years now as the Company's Financial Controller. I deal with all aspects of the Company's finances and work closely with the Managing Director in streamlining systems so that my department operates in a smooth, efficient and professional manner. During this time I have seen the company triple in size and grow from strength to strength and have contributed to the development of new systems and the ongoing introduction of the latest technology. I have enthusiasm and a sense of achievement within my role and having the support of a positive manager is a great help when facing new challenges.

I have worked for McGimpseys for 5 years and started out as a porter, before moving to van driver and I now work in our distribution centre workshop. My role is to repair freezers for one of our logistics clients and I love seeing the units come into the workshop in bad condition and seeing the difference our work makes to them. I love that not everyday is the same, one moment you could be repairing freezers and the next unloading two 40ft trailers of new stock - we are always kept busy which is great! I am thankful for 5 years of full-time employment and hopefully I will still be here in years to come!
